ABN AMRO – Business Data Modeler (2 FTE) (568764)

The daily activities will mainly consist of translating business requirements per use case (dashboard, campaign, ML model) into a business data model and, together with the data engineers, further develop this into a logical and ultimately technical data model.
The business data modeler will have to manage/coordinate the activities of a group of data analysts and optimize the associated data processes.
He/she will mainly work with tooling such as Databricks, ERWIN and our data Data dictionary tool on Azure.
The business data modeler will not develop dashboards and models. This is done by the team of analysts and scientists.
For this vacancy we are looking for someone with extensive experience in the above areas.

Development of the Business Data Model that gives a business view on the data that is available on our DataStore.
Development of the data pipeline of all the relevant data from the data staging area to the target datamodel(s).

Required qualifications:
• Able to effectively communicate (in written and spoken English);
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university or college in computer science, Data or Business Analytics;
• Experience in programming (TSQL, Python, PySpark)
• Experience in ERWIN and DataBricks
• Experience in analysing and modeling of structured and unstructured data,
• Knowledge of and experience with batch, streaming and API
• Knowledge of and experience with data management, data governance, DQ, meta data
• Pro-active attitude and an excellent team player.
• Experience with data management and analytics in a cloud environment
Experience with (Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data warehouse, Azure Datafactory) is a plus
